Today is January 1, 2019 and in 5 days we will be checking into the hospital to induce delivery of our little girl, SaraAnn. I haven’t blogged since we announced our pregnancy, and while I’m a little sad that I didn’t document this pregnancy better – I’m thankful for a wonderful year with my husband, family and friends celebrating the life growing in my belly, watching her grow on the ultrasound pics and well…just living life. It’s been quite a ride.
I’m so very thankful for a healthy pregnancy at 44/45 years old – it could have been SO different. We were blessed with no complications and have now made it to almost 39 weeks and will finally get to meet our princess this weekend. I’m nervous about the delivery, whether I’ll have to have a c-section and about figuring out breastfeeding. The rest of it, eh…it is what it is. There are doctors and nurses to help me make those decisions, I don’t need to know everything at one time.
I am hoping to document my journey into motherhood at 45 – my trials, lessons and maybe even some tips and tricks if I’m lucky. I can’t promise I’ll blog every day – ’cause real life…but I’m going to do my best.
So here’s to the final countdown until we see her sweet face. Have a great day everyone.
